Mrs. Carol Ann Finley, 19, of Rt.1, drowned Thursday, October 11, en route to Wichita where she was enrolled in a nursing course. Mrs. Finley was born Feb. 13, 1954 in Winfield to Ernest and Robinette (DeFore) Greenwell. She married Rex Finley May 27, 1972. She is survived by: her husband and her parents of Winfield; two brothers, Michael Greenwell of Derby, Steven Greenwell of Fairborn, Ohio; her sister, Mrs. Randy (Linda) Thompson of Lawrence; her grandmother, Mrs. Stella DeFore of Winfield; and her parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Finley of Rt.1. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, (Oct. 15, 1973) in Swisher-Taylor Chapel. Internment will be in the Akron Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her name with the Wichita School of Practical Nursing. Contributions may be left at the funeral home.
